Treatment Plans - Work With Me 1:1

Working with hormonal issues for many years has given me a deeper understanding of the specific needs that face us with regards to our hormonal equilibrium. From teenage years and the onset of periods, through to the perimenopause, our monthly cycles can be something of a mystery: I hope to work with you to demystify some of your period concerns and connect you to your cycle.

Our hormones impact everything we do, so being able to ride the wave of your hormonal ebb and flow can help with much more than 'just' your period; digestion, mood, concentration, libido, energy levels are just some of the things which can be affected. So if you're having issues with your cycle, fertility, menopause or any of the list above, then this plan is for you.

 

The 14-week Treatment Plan is an incredible opportunity to invest some time and tlc on yourself: you can expect quality 1:1 coaching time with me via video conferencing, helping to alleviate symptoms and work on the underlying root causes of imbalance and dis-ease. 

What to Expect?
Week 1

Week 1 is our initial consultation, when we will discuss your current health and wellbeing, as well as a detailed history. I may ask you questions that seem irrelevant, but they're all important in building a clear picture of your health which enables me to formulate a bespoke plan to support you moving forwards. We will talk about your primary concerns and what your priorities are, and set some expectations of what we hope to achieve over the 14 weeks. This session lasts about 60 - 90 minutes, and following our first week I'll send you a summary and my herbal strategy to kick off with. At this stage, if you have any recent test results then I'd love to see them, to help inform the plan moving forwards. 

Week 2

During week 2 we cover the topic of food and nutrition in our hour-long session. This is a non-judgemental look at your food intake, and how we can optimise nutrients that you're getting from your food, without increasing effort or cost dramatically. I may suggest recipes, or social media accounts or blogs to follow for inspiration, or it may be that working more specifically with a dietician or nutritional therapist is something we uncover at this stage. In that case, I have a list of recommended and trusted practitioners that I can suggest to you.

Week 3

This is another 60 minute slot, and is the week that we cover a lifestyle audit, examine how you're spending your time, and discover how that may be impacting your health. When we are working with hormones, it's a complex matrix, and we can make really important and impactful changes by doing small things. In this session we look at what's going to work for you and realistic ways to implement that. We also use all our contact sessions to review how you're getting on with your herbs.

Week 4

In our hour this week, we discuss some of the big picture stuff: this will differ depending on what your original concern is, but often topics will cover triggers of dis-ease, the menstrual cycle in all its glory, what to expect (and why) at different life stages, and how it all works together. 

Weeks 6 and 10

These sessions last 30 minutes each, and here we have a chance to review what's working for you, and what's not working so well for you. We will look at not just what impact the herbs are having, but how they're fitting into your day, what changes you've made that are sticking, and what's not sticking so well - and then we discuss ways to make these things more manageable. The word I often use is 'realistic' because that's what it all needs to be!

Week 14

At week 14 we discuss how we want to continue to work together moving forwards: We will reflect back on your expectations for treatment from week 1 and see if we need a little more time working together, which can be the case for some really long standing issues. In this case, we will book in ad-hoc review sessions to continue to provide you with support for as long as you would like. 

Your herbal prescription will arrive on your doorstep with full instructions and information on how to take for the 14 weeks. I also give you access to a discount for any supplements that you may choose to take, after we have had our session on nutrition and I've made an analysis on what may work for you. I may also make suggestions for additional tests or complementary support, which we can discuss if and when they crop up. You'll also get email summaries after our first few sessions, with relevant handouts, worksheets, links, and info, to support the work that we are doing together.
